“BORGES AND MYSELF” presented by Charles Lewsen (one of the first members of the ‘Friends of the Gallery’) at the Traverse Theatre from 50th March to 4th April at 7,50 p.m.
JANE ARDEN'S HOLOCAUST THEATRE, a womans theatre, will have, no doubt, a dramatic opening at the Traverse on Tuesday 6th April. They are presenting “The New Communion” which will be in three sections: “The Inmates”, “The Alchemists” and “The Symposium”. Jane Arden is a remarkable woman and if anyone saw her play “Vagina Rex and the Gas Oven” starring Victor Spinetti at the Arts Lab. in London then they will know what to expect. She was, by the way, the author of a remarkably successful play starring Charles Laughton which was seen in Edinburgh. It was called “The Party”. I wonder if anyone remembers seeing that?
WOMENS LIBERATION NOW Saturday 10th April at 10.50 p.m. Traverse Trial. Witnesses include members of Holocaust Theatre, Richard Demarco and Sheila Gilmore, member of Edinburgh Women’s Liberation Workshop.
PAT DOUTHWAITE, the artist, is looking for a studio in either Edinburgh or Glasgow where she can live and work. Telephone 041 889 2559.
